What is GLYXAMBI?<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n

GLYXAMBI is a prescription medication containing two medicines, empagliflozin (JARDIANCE) and linagliptin (TRADJENTA). GLYXAMBI can be used along with diet and exercise to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes, and can be used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have known cardiovascular disease when empagliflozin, one of the medicines in GLYXAMBI, is needed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death.<\/p>\n

GLYXAMBI is not for use to lower blood sugar in people with type 1 diabetes. It may increase their risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (increased ketones in the blood or urine). If you have had pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) it is not known if you have a higher chance of getting pancreatitis while taking GLYXAMBI. GLYXAMBI is not for use to lower blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes who have severe kidney problems, because it may not work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Do not take\u00a0GLYXAMBI if you are allergic to linagliptin (TRADJENTA), empagliflozin (JARDIANCE), or any of the ingredients in GLYXAMBI.<\/p>\n

Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include:<\/p>\n

    skin rash, itching, flaking, or peeling<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    raised red patches on your skin (hives)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    swelling of your face, lips, tongue, and throat that may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    difficulty with swallowing or breathing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
